All care at LCNH begins with Discovery, but not all Discovery looks the same.
For some clients, Discovery begins with a 45-minute Discovery: Triage appointment with a member of our clinical team. This session is designed to understand your current health picture, assess complexity, and determine whether your needs can be supported within practitioner-led care or whether more in-depth clinical formulation is required.
For clients whose needs are more complex, or where greater clarity and direction are required from the outset, Discovery may take the form of a 2-3 session Clinical Case Formulation process with Louise. This deeper Discovery process allows time to explore context, patterns, belief systems, and physiology in greater depth, and to establish a clear clinical direction before any intervention begins.
From Discovery, clients move into an Observation session, where learning from the initial Discovery phase is reflected back, priorities are clarified, and the most appropriate next steps are agreed together. We then move into the intervention and transformation via our appointment package options.
This staged approach ensures that care is thoughtful, proportionate, and matched to your needs — rather than assuming a single entry point for everyone.
The aim of any programme is to facilitate action. In this case, the action you would like to see is a change in your symptoms and to re-balance your health.
The DO-IT system which we utilise in our clinic is designed to support you towards that goal and is a clinical tool to guide you through your journey with us.
We operate a virtual clinic for those who are unable to regularly attend appointments in person. In-person appointments can currently only be booked in Lincoln.

A structured, supportive approach
Our aim is not simply to provide recommendations, but to support implementation and integration in a way that is realistic and sustainable. Clients are supported with:
- clear dietary and supplement guidance where appropriate
- structured pathways rather than open-ended care
- health coaching support focused on real-life application
- access to professional guidance within defined clinical roles
Louise has undertaken additional training to ensure the clinic is neurodiverse-friendly, and care is delivered with an awareness of sensory load, pacing, and communication needs.
Research Informed
LCNH is a research-informed clinic. We aim to share relevant emerging research with clients where it supports understanding and decision-making. From time to time, anonymised data may be used internally to inform our own learning and service development.
Practical tools & resources
Where relevant, clients may have access to practical resources such as recipes, guides, shopping tips, and meal planning tools. These are intended to support consistency and reduce decision fatigue, rather than add additional tasks.

From time to time laboratory tests may be suggested. The purpose of undertaking testing is to better understand how your body is functioning in key areas. Sample reports for the tests noted below can be requested and further detail can be given during an appointment. Tests frequently requested by our clients are listed below. Louise Carder is affiliated with Colab Services Ltd as a Director, so current clients of LCNH benefit by being able to access an additional discount for these tests. For any tests undertaken, an interpretation/admin fee will be invoiced to reflect the time taken understanding the result and implementing an appropriate therapeutic protocol. For negative results a £10 admin fee only is invoiced.
